Despite all the doom and gloom it is great to see that giving is alive and well in the Columbia Valley.
The Fairmont Lions Club in conjunction with Cody's Par 3 course held a very successful fund raiser day of golf last weekend.......The place was packed and $7,500 was raised for a campaign that will eventually see community raised funding of $500,000 for equipment for the new Invermere Hospital Emergency Department.
EZ Rock sends it congratulations to the organizers and a huge thanks to all who made that funding amount possible.
Fundrasing efforts for the emergency room equipment are being fronted by a unique partnership in the valley that has seen the Ladies Auxiliaries of Invermere, Windermere, Edgewater/Radium and the East Kootenay Foundation of Health band together under a campaign umbrella called "Together for Everyone." Fund raising events will be held all summer so stay tuned to EZ Rock for dates and times......
