Blues vocalist/harmonica player Gary Primich has crafted a righteously rollicking effort with "Dog House Music." He channels the ghosts of rockabilly and jump on the energetic opener, "Mr. Lucky," then launches into the expansive, good-time blues-rock of "Dog House" (which contains echoes of The Band's rocking Americana). On the slower side, Primich settles into the wrenching ballad "That's What Love Was Made For" like an old comfortable shoe, his heartworn pipes spilling all over the track. Read More
