By: THE ASSOCIATED PRESS BOGOTA, Colombia - Colombia's government says it has extradited a paramilitary warlord to the United States to face drug trafficking charges. In a statement, President Alvaro Uribe's office says Carlos Mario Jimenez was flown early Wednesday morning to Washington, D.C.. On Tuesday, Colombia's top judicial panel overturned a Supreme Court decision that had temporarily blocked the extradition. The court had ruled Jimenez should not be allowed to leave the country without confessing to his crimes and paying reparations to his victims. |
